DWN encourages you to discover ways you can remain active and fully engaged in community.  One avenue is giving back through volunteering. Myriad research studies support the benefits of volunteerism -- better health, reduced risk of mortality, longer life, a sense of well-being, and added meaning to life.

DWN benefits from the energy, commitment, creativity, and leadership of people  who work with us in our all-volunteer organization. This experience inspired DWN to design a Toolkit and Workshop called “Create Your Own Volunteer Experience.”  The project, executed under a grant from the Massachusetts Service Alliance, helps individuals discover their path to volunteering.
